SOPHIA PARK, Assistant General Counsel
Sophia joined the Commission in 2007. She started as an attorney in the Legal Division handling applications for rehearing of Commission decisions and defending the Commission’s decisions before the state appellate courts. She became an Administrative Law Judge in 2015 and Senior Administrative Law Judge in 2022. As both an attorney and a judge, Sophia has worked on a broad range of energy, water, telecommunications, and other matters. Prior to joining the Commission, Sophia was in private practice as a civil litigator. Sophia is a graduate of UC Berkeley and UC Berkeley School of Law.
