Basic Data About State Regulated Systems

As of December 2024, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regulates pipeline safety on 110,548.3 miles of gas distribution lines, 9,456.8 miles of intrastate gas transmission lines, 0.49 miles of Type-A gas gathering lines, 0.58 miles of Type-C gas gathering lines, and 8.2 miles of Type-R gas gathering lines.  In 2024, CPUC investigated 6 DOT-reportable incidents.
