Natural Gas Audits

The CPUC conducts routine audits of natural gas operators, including distribution, transmission, storage, and Mobilehome Park / Propane operators to ensure operator compliance with the California gas safety regulations outlined in General Order 112-F and Federal gas safety regulations outlined in 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 190, 191, 192, 196, and 199.

The CPUC compares the functions of transmission and distribution with the requirements set out by General Order 112-F as well as federal standards set forth in US Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).
