The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is holding a series of Public Participation Hearings to hear directly from the public on a proposed transaction involving Charter Communications and Cox Enterprises.

Charter Communications, Inc., Charter Communications Holdings, LLC, and Cox Enterprises, Inc. have filed an application with the CPUC seeking approval under Public Utilities Code Section 854 for an indirect transfer of control of Cox California Telcom, LLC.

The proposed transaction involves Cox subsidiaries that provide residential cable, voice, mobile, and enterprise services, as well as commercial fiber and managed IT services in California.

Public input is an important part of the CPUC’s review process. Comments shared during the Public Forums will help inform the Commission as it evaluates the potential impacts of the proposed transaction on customers and communities.

The CPUC will host both in-person and virtual Public Forums in February 2026. Members of the public are welcome to attend and provide comments:
