CPUC Tenure: 7 Years
Headquarters: Los Angeles
CPUC role:
I manage a team of analysts within the Written Operations Unit of the Consumer Affairs Branch. Our team assists consumers who reach out with concerns related to their Investor-Owned Utilities. In addition, I oversee a team responsible for managing key inboxes that receive inquiries from utilities, consumers, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) divisions, and legislative bodies. We work collaboratively to ensure timely and accurate responses to a wide range of issues and requests.
What is the most rewarding aspect of working at the CPUC?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of working at the CPUC is the opportunity to directly assist consumers by answering their questions and addressing concerns they may have about their utility services. It’s fulfilling to know that my work contributes to helping people navigate important issues that impact their daily lives.
What’s the best career advice that you ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that while it’s easy to remain in your comfort zone, growth often comes from stepping outside of it. Taking the initiative to learn new skills within your current role can open doors to future opportunities and advancement.

What drew you to work here originally?
I transitioned from a different department after recognizing the variety of job opportunities available at the CPUC. What particularly drew me in is the potential for growth and advancement across different divisions, which reflects a strong commitment to internal development and career progression.
What’s one hobby or activity you really enjoy outside of work?
One hobby I really enjoy outside of work is attending car shows and automotive events with my family. It’s fascinating to see how vehicle technology continues to evolve. Attending car shows is a great way to stay connected to an ever-changing industry while spending quality time with loved ones.
