Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group
Formation of the Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group (DACAG) was called for in Senate Bill 350, the Clean Energy and Pollution Reduction Act of 2015. The 11-member group meets several times a year to review CPUC and CEC clean energy programs and policies to ensure that disadvantaged communities, including tribal and rural communities, benefit from proposed clean energy and pollution reduction programs. Group Establishment Information
- On March 1, 2018, the CPUC appointed the nominees to the Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group. The California Energy Commission also approved the appointments. The two commissions also recognized the tribal representative appointed by the Governor's Tribal Liaison.
- On December 14, 2017, the CPUC adopted the Disadvantaged Communities Advisory Group and its charter. This action, together with a similar one by the California Energy Commission on December 13, establishes the Advisory Group.

- The CPUC and the California Energy Commission on August 1, 2017, released a joint proposal to establish a new advisory group consisting of representatives from disadvantaged communities who will provide advice on state programs proposed to achieve clean energy and pollution reduction.
